Description
Postcard from Venice
Acqua alta (Italian for 'high water') in the Venetian Lagoon causes flooding in parts of Venice, Italy. It's an amazing sight: clear, clean sea water bubbles up from the marble drains on St Mark's Square and slowly rises.

Beautiful buildings and architecture and it looks to be a popular gathering place. Interesting info about the sea water seeping up through the drains. Guess everyone gets their feet wet. :)
