Description
Antique Roman Theatre of Philippopolis - Centuries of Culture and History of Plovdiv, Bulgaria
Another view of the Roman Theatre of Philippopolis, Theatrum Trimontense, in the center of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. This theater was built in ancient Trimontium or Philippopolis in 1st century AD, is one of the world’s best-preserved ancient Roman amphitheaters, and is still in use today as you can see from all the performance paraphernalia and the cushions on the marble seats.
