Ancient Thracian Reservoir at Belintash
Belintash is an ancient Thracian megalithic monument on a rock plateau in The Rhodopes in Bulgaria (also known as Rhodope Mountains or Rodopi). Its purpose is not yet understood. Maybe a sanctuary dedicated to the god Sabazios, or a stellar map, or a solar observatory? Or just a magical place, affording fabulous views of the surrounding mountain ridges that makes you think of the millennia of human history.
